Volume Scroller for YouTube™

Adjust YouTube volume with your scroll wheel.

Volume Scroller is a browser extension for changing YouTube volume without reaching for the player controls. Hover a player, scroll, and keep watching. The extension has a 5-star rating from 5 ratings on the Chrome Web Store.

The project started with a small annoyance. YouTube's volume slider is useful, but adjusting it repeatedly interrupts what you are watching. The extension puts that control on the mouse wheel when the cursor is over a player.

Simple controls where you need them

Scroll up or down to change the volume in steps. The interaction works on regular watch pages, Shorts, YouTube Music, and embedded players on other websites.

The extension stays out of the way until you are over a player. That means normal page scrolling continues everywhere else.

Settings that match your habits

The popup keeps the controls discoverable without adding clutter to YouTube itself. You can choose the scroll step, use modifier keys, reverse the direction, and optionally remember a preferred volume.

Those settings stay in your browser. Volume Scroller does not require an account or an extension telemetry setup.

Built as a focused browser extension

This is a small, single-purpose product. The public site explains the workflow, and the browser extension handles the interaction where it matters. It is a useful example of the kind of compact tooling Zenso Digital can design and ship.
